Enhanced Pipeline Patrol
GEO1 provides the capability to overlay the pipeline position as a real-time graphic on HD Video (1920 x 1080). The aircraft crew can view the enhanced video while they are flying the patrol, and all video is recorded as evidence of the flight.
Proposal or Pre-Construction Visualization
Trying to visualize where the proposed line will be constructed can be difficult at best during the pre-construction airborne surveys. The GEO1 system delivers real-time graphic overlays of the proposed pipeline positioning that can be viewed by the aircraft team, and recorded for later analysis.
The GEO+ gyro-stabilized aerial camera system provides real-time graphic overlay for pre-visualization of pipeline routes. In this frame export, the red lines show alternative routes with right-of-way and construction work areas.
GEO1 can also build wireframes representing the size and volume of a proposed structure. The structure can then be accurately geo-located, and filmed in HD Video. The helicopter crew can view the visualization in real time on the flight monitors. Multiple versions of the video can be recorded including overlay, clean, and ultra-high definition (up to 6K).
Threat Level Assessment
With the Cineflex/GEO+ system, GEO1 can overlay real-time vector graphics for threat analysis in the unlikely occurrence of a structural failure or catastrophic event. Together with our clients, our GIS teams determine potential threats and varying ranges to create a series of KML files. The resulting KML files are uploaded to our Cineflex system prior to flight, then viewed and recorded in real-time during the flight. The overlay graphics are displayed on all monitors in the aircraft during the flight.
Fast Threat Analysis
This image shows the GEO1 capability to display graphic overlays to assess the potential threat area in the event of a catastrophic event. Blue centerline could be an oil or gas pipeline. Threat level by distance is represented by the additional lines. Move your cursor over the image to see the original image. The lines are displayed and recorded in real time during the flight.
GEO1 works with clients to develop a data-driven visual asset inventory. We provide highly accurate LiDAR data to assess any ground level changes from landslides or seismic events. In conjunction with LiDAR, our Intelligent Aerial Sensing solutions can also deliver high resolution images and video for fast assessment of existing conditions. Using Global Mapper and our custom GEOLook extension, clients can see the condition of the environment to enable quick decision-making that could reduce vast clean-up and mitigation expenses.
Possible Risk Mitigation Scenarios
Example A: Clients can immediately view the location and environment of the area. If the location of the rupture is known, clients can use the LiDAR data in conjunction with Global Mapper to determine gravity flow patterns to quickly assess the best location to build containment berms.
Example B: In the event of a significant gas leak in a residential neighborhood, clients can view the potential threat area and the homes that could possibly be affected. This information can be quickly shared with law enforcement for evacuation notification.
Example C: In the event of a major flood with the resulting risk of unanticipated erosion, clients can view the pre-existing conditions to determine if transmission lines should be shut-down to mitigate any risk of a pipeline rupture.
High Resolution Images and Video for Marketing
The GEO1 team can provide high resolution images of assets for annual reports, company web sites, and marketing materials. Our in-house video suite can deliver fully edited 6K productions. For one recent project, our in-house photo team delivered high-resolution images of the offshore assets of a multi-national oil exploration company.
